I've been reading the Hunger Games for a while now. I am not the best reader, or maybe i should say i'm not the best at reading a book continuously. But this book has kept me rolling. It is very difficult to put down because of it's thrilling plot. I'm not sure if you've read it or not but its basically about a world where 2 teenagers from each district are picked and forced to go and fight to the death for food. This takes place during a time or world hunger so it is a big deal to win these games. the main character is chosen and has to go fight. I am at the beginning of the story so right now she is being prepared and trained to go and fight. I think that this is such an amazing story line because it is just so unique! There are 2 more books in the series and I can't wait to read those as well. Since I am towards the beginning of the book, I don't have any predictions or really many thoughts on what could happen.
Besides all of the reading I've been doing, I have been working really hard on My literary analysis paper. All I can really sum it up to is one word, wow. It has been a lot of work! We've been working on it since about a week or so before thanksgiving break I believe. I remember when we first read the literary analysis on A&P I had no idea what in the world was going on and it wasn't only until a few weeks ago when I finally understood it... I know that might sound bad but this was very difficult for me to understand. But the important thing is that I understand it now. I have come a long way since the first time we wrote our thesis statement on the index card. I have revised and even rewritten my paper and right now, I finally feel like I have finally gotten my paper to a point where I am very happy with it. This is something that I really think I am going to be very proud of in the end. I can't wait to see the final product.
Reading Time: 150 minutes-65 pages
That's a nice summary of the Hunger Games, Em! I read all three books in the series but the first was definitely my favorite. I remember when I was reading it, I was completely engrossed.
ReplyDeleteTrust me, you aren't the only one who was confused about the literary analysis assignment at first. I am really glad that you were able to understand it and feel so confident about your paper.
The Hunger Games are really great books. I've read all of them! The third was my least favorite. Those books are super addicting!
