The Hunger Games

Yes I know, I am a little late on reading the Hunger Games...  Everyone read them like 3 years ago, but that's not stopping me.  A while back, I started reading this thrilling fictional novel.  I passed my 150 minutes long ago, but I just couldn't put it down.  It never gets boring and there is always some sort of action going on.  So far, I haven't run into any low points that are so boring that I actually zone out; and I doubt I will because with this plot, I don't know how it could possibly get boring!

In this past reading I did, I learned about Avoxes which are criminals who have had their tounges cut and basically become servants.  The main character, Katniss, talks about an encounter with the Avox, so to me, I am lead to believe that Avoxes will have another part of the story and they will most likely come up again later.  Also, I read about the training of the tributes and a lot of surprising things happened that I was deffiniteley not expecting, for example, Petta asking to train privately.  That was a big surprise because he was the one who was laying on the charm and trying to be all lovey-dovey and friendly with his partner that he would soon be fighting to the death.  This book is so thrilling and exciting!  I can't wait to continue on and read the other 2 books.

Reading Time:  150 min- 58 pages

  2. I've read the Hunger Games book, and they were absolutely wonderful. I like how you think the author is using foreshadowing. I also like how you talked about Peeta, and how his emotion changed.
